Guide
Need Fibery to sync with a tool we don’t integrate with yet? Don’t wait for us (most likely we will never build it). Describe what you need in plain words, and the AI agent writes a connector, tests it against the real API, and keeps your data syncing.
When to use AI Connectors
The tool has no native Fibery integration. Check Integrations overview first
Your company has an internal API with data you want in Fibery
A native integration exists, but misses the objects or fields you need
Create a connector
It takes a few minutes, and the agent does most of the work. Click + in the sidebar → Space → Connect via AI (or open Settings → Integrations and click Connect via AI button) and tell the agent what you need:
“Sync deals and companies from Attio”
“Sync my books from Open Library”
“Sync tickets from our internal API at api.example.com”
Then:
Pick a model and reasoning level under the chat input. Lighter models cost fewer AI credits and are usually enough
Send the message and watch. The agent creates a draft connector right away, reads the API docs, calls the real endpoints, writes the code and publishes the connector. The badge next to the name turns from Draft to Published
Answer the cards in chat. The agent asks you to add an account (or enter an API key), then to choose a Space for the new databases
Review and sync. The side panel shows the databases and field mapping. Adjust if needed and click Sync
That’s it. Your data is in Fibery!
Try it: a connector in 2 minutes
Want to see the whole flow without any credentials? Build a connector for JSONPlaceholder, a free fake API with users, posts and comments. Paste this prompt:
Sync data from the public JSONPlaceholder API (https://jsonplaceholder.typicode.com, no authentication). I need three databases: Users, Posts and Comments, with Posts linked to Users and Comments linked to Posts.
Here is what happens:
In about a minute, the agent checks the API, builds the connector and publishes it
The Add account card says No authentication. Click Add account
The New synchronization card suggests a new JSONPlaceholder Space. Click Set up
The side panel opens with Users, Posts and Comments selected. Click Next to review field mapping (Fibery picks Email, Phone and URL types for you), then Sync
In about 10 seconds you get 10 users, 100 posts and 500 comments, all linked
Now ask for more in the same chat:
Also add a Todos database linked to Users, with the completed flag as a checkbox.
The agent updates the code, then shows a Review AI changes card. Click Apply changes, then Sync, and 200 todos appear in your Space.
Write a good prompt
The agent turns what you name into databases and what you link into relations. The more specific you are, the less you fix later.
Instead of | Try |
|---|
“Connect Attio” | “Sync deals and companies from Attio. Link deals to companies. Only deals updated in the last 12 months.” |
“Sync our tickets” | “Sync tickets from api.example.com/v2/tickets. It uses a bearer token. Link tickets to customers by customer_id.” |
“Get my books” | “Sync my Open Library reading log for user john_doe: want to read, currently reading and already read shelves, with author and cover.” |
If you are unsure, start small. Sync one or two databases first, check the result, then ask for more in the same chat. Each change is a short follow-up message, not a new connector.
AI Connector page
Every connector lives on its own page: open AI Connectors and click a card. The chat with the agent is on the left, with the whole conversation saved, so you can come back in a week and continue where you left off. Toggle the side panel with the plug icon in the top right corner.
Sync. See every synchronization of this connector, change field mapping, run Sync by hand, and set how often it runs: Manually (default), Once a day, Every 4 hours, Every 2 hours or Every hour. Use + New sync to sync into another Space if you need that.
Secrets. Manage API keys and tokens and other settings the connector code needs
Errors. Check errors from the connector’s runs in the last 7 days
Code. Read or edit the connector code (most likely you will never need it)
The … menu in the top right corner has Delete Connector.
Credentials and security
Your keys never go into the chat. When an API needs a key or token, the agent shows a card with a password field, and the value is stored encrypted in the Secrets tab.
Secret and environment variable values are never shown again after you save them
Tool outputs in chat hide values such as authorization, password, secret and token
OAuth accounts are connected through a popup
Beyond one-way sync
Webhooks. If the API supports them, changes arrive as they happen in real time, not at the next sync
Actions in automations. The agent can create custom actions that you use in Automations to create or update data in the external system
Troubleshooting
Sync failed or data looks wrong
Open the Errors tab, then ask the agent in the same chat, for example: “The last sync failed, please fix it” or “Due date is empty for all tasks, map it from due_on”. The agent reads the errors, fixes the code and republishes the connector.
The connector costs too many AI credits
Try GPT-6 Luna or Claude Haiku 5.5 at Medium reasoning first. Switch to a heavier model or higher reasoning only when the result is wrong.
Limitations
HTTP APIs only
Data syncs one way, into Fibery. To change data in the external system, use actions in automations
No MCP tool for creating connectors yet (in progress)
Synced fields are read-only in Fibery, like in native integrations
