Guide
Dashboard View can visualize information in a dense way via flexible layouts. You can insert existing views (or create new views) as widgets.
Available to workspaces on any plan
Use Dashboards to track metrics & monitor trends, combine relevant views together, explore a lot of information in a single place.
Creating Dashboard
You can create Dashboard View on top level, inside any Space or inside any Entity (as Context Views). Simply click + and select Dashboard from the menu:
Organizing Dashboard
You can add, re-arrange, re-size and delete widgets, thus creating any layout you need on a grid.
To re-size a widget, drag the bottom right corner. You can change width and height of any widget
To move a widget, drag the top left corner
Some practical advices:
Reports are happy to be inside Dashboards and make them nice.
If you need some text section, create a new Document via Add Widget and write what you need. This document will be inside Dashboard and will not bloat navigation anywhere.
If you need automatic filter by some entity, like by Project or by Team, create context Dashboard inside Project or Team entity. Check Context Views.
Context Dashboard View
You can create context Dashboard Views inside Smart Folders. All Views inside Dashboard will be automatically filtered by the parent entity. For example, in this scenario single Dashboard shows Features and Insights views and reports for the selected Initiative.
Embed widget for Dashboard
You can add embeds as Widgets on Dashboard Views. For example, you can add a link to educational video, some website, Figma prototype, etc.
FAQ
What widgets are available?
You can insert views (Table, Board, Feed, List, Timeline, Gantt, Map and Report), Documents and Whiteboards.
You can also embed external links, like websites, videos, figma prototypes, etc.
Are there any cross-filters?
No. So if you insert several reports into the Dashboard, each report will have its own filters. However, you may create context Dashboard (inside an entity) and all content will be filtered by this entity. For example, you may create Dashboard View inside some Project, and filter by this Project will be automatically applied to all views inside this Dashboard.
